As much as I love the site, and have been a paid supporter historically, I don't particularly like the idea of essentially paywalling the General, which is why I haven't renewed my membership.
@S For the price it's more like a payfence really. Having to have supporter to post makes the overall quality of that forum better, and the site aint cheap. It worked for SomethingAwful. But I getcha.
Shitposting and loq-aulity posts make a forum experience feel more authentic and fun overall IMO - Makes you appreciate the good quality posts more. Besides, it's less about the price, and more about the principal for me anyway. A paywall is a paywall.
